In Nuh, man runs van over wife multiple times till she dies
Nuh: A 38-year-old woman met a horrific end on Naurangpur-Tauru road in Nuh district, where her husband ran her over with his pickup truck multiple times until she drew her last breath. The brutal murder, which occurred around 2pm on Friday, followed months of marital disputes. According to police, Sangeeta, a resident of Kota Khandewla village, had endured years of abuse at the hands of her alcoholic husband, Narender (40), who repeatedly demanded money from her. On Friday too, Sangeeta was assaulted, prompting her to reach out to her brother, Pradeep Kumar, for help. In another phone call, Narender issued an ultimatum to Pradeep —he would kill her if he did not take her sister away.Pradeep rushed to his sister's house, only to find her being assaulted by both Narender and their 20-year-old son. Despite managing to escape with Sangeeta on his motorcycle, their relief was short-lived.Narender, on hot pursuit, rammed their bike with his pickup truck on Naurangpur-Tauru road. While Pradeep managed to save himself by leaping into the nearby fields, Sangeeta wasn't as fortunate. The man repeatedly drove over his wife until she succumbed to her injuries.A murder case was registered at Mohammadpur Ahir police station against five family members, including Narender, his son, and Sangeeta's in-laws.
According to Pradeep, he had recently given Rs 2.9 lakh to Narender to stop the abuse, but the demands continued, with Narender asking for an additional Rs 1.5 lakh before the fatal incident."We have booked five members of the family, including the husband and son of the deceased. Whenever Narender used to thrash Sangeeta, her son supported his father and assaulted his mother as well. We will soon nab the absconding accused," the SHO said. The case assumed additional urgency as Pradeep revealed that his younger sister, who married Narender's brother in 2003, might also be in danger. The FIR was registered under sections 103 (murder), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and 3(5) (act done by several persons) of BNS.
