Operation Sindoor created a 'new normal': PM Modi's strong warning to Pakistan

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday sent out a strong and clear warning to Pakistan as he declared "Operation Sindoor is now India's established policy in fight against terrorism."In his first address to the nation after the success of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Modi announced a decisive shift in India's strategic approach against terror."Operation Sindoor has redefined the fight against terror … setting a new standard and a new normal in counter-terrorism measures," PM Modi said.The Prime Minister outlined the three key pillars of country's new security doctrine.1. Decisive retaliation: When any terrorist attack on India will be met with a strong and resolute response. India will retaliate on its own terms, targeting terror hubs at their roots. 2. No tolerance for nuclear blackmail: India will not be intimidated by nuclear threats. Any terrorist safe haven operating under this pretext will face precise and decisive strikes. 3. No distinction between terror sponsors and terrorists: India will no longer see terrorist leaders and the governments sheltering them as separate entities.'Pakistan found itself begging for peace'The Prime Minister heaped praise on the Indian armed forces for dismantling Pakistan's terror infrastruture and said Islamabad was left reeling from the decisive action taken by the Indian Armed Forces under "Operation Sindoor.""Pakistan was forced to seek escape route, and it found itself begging for peace after suffering heavy losses in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack," the Prime Minister said."With its military stunned by the precision strikes against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), the neighbouring nation had no choice but to reach out to India, seeking to de-escalate the situation, PM Modi said.
