One of PlayStation’s most underrated exclusives, Days Gone, is making a comeback with a remastered edition set to launch on April 25, 2025. Sony and Bend Studio have officially confirmed the upgraded version of the zombie survival game, promising improved visuals, enhanced gameplay, and exciting new modes.
If you missed out on Days Gone when it originally launched on the PS4, or if you’re eager to experience the game with a fresh coat of paint on the PS5, here’s everything you need to know about pre-orders, pricing, and the bonuses that come with the remastered edition.

How to Pre-Order Days Gone Remastered?

Pre-orders for Days Gone Remastered are now live on the PlayStation Store. The game will be available digitally, with no mention of a physical edition at the moment. Players can purchase the remaster outright or, if they already own the PS4 version, upgrade to the new edition for a small fee.

Pricing Details

The remastered edition will be priced at $49.99 for new buyers, while existing Days Gone owners can upgrade for just $10. However, there are some conditions attached. If you claimed the game for free through PlayStation Plus Extra, Essential, or the PS Plus Classics collection, you will not be eligible for the discounted upgrade. Instead, you’ll need to purchase the full version at its standard price.
Notably, PlayStation has also ensured that players cannot buy the PS4 version at a lower price now and upgrade for a discount. The older version is currently listed at $39.99, effectively preventing players from saving money by taking this route.

Pre-Order Bonuses

Players who pre-order Days Gone Remastered will receive exclusive perks, including:

Eight Days Gone Remastered PSN Avatars
Five in-game items to assist players at the start of their journey
These bonuses will be available whether you buy the full game or opt for the $10 upgrade before release day.

Alongside visual improvements, the remastered edition introduces two exciting gameplay modes:

Horde Assault Mode - A challenging mode where players face relentless waves of Freakers.
Permadeath Mode - A high-risk mode where death means starting the game from scratch.

While PS5 players get to enjoy the remaster, PC gamers will have to wait. However, some features, including new game modes, will be available as part of the Broken Road DLC for Days Gone on PC.
