K-pop girl group EVERGLOW is going through major changes in management as of right now. All six members of the group have decided not to renew their contracts with their current management agency. All members have officially decided to part ways with their current firm and are also looking for new management and opportunities.
EVERGLOW leave old company; future uncertain
While it has been confirmed that all six members of the group EVERGLOW have decided to let their contracts expire with their current agency, what they plan on doing in the future is still uncertain, as per reports from K-media outlet Maeil Business Star.
The idols have been preparing for their final goodbyes to the company by wrapping up group activities and events. Their company has also publicly confirmed that while they were unable to continue the contracts with members of EVERGLOW, they still support them in all future endeavours.
To confirm the news, even the members issued a statement and shared that "We are leaving YUEHUA, but we're not breaking up. We're still EVERGLO"W.
EVERGLOW member Sihyeon also went live on one of her social media platforms and interacted with fans to reassure them that the group is still there.
Rumours of disbandment still going onEven though the members have shared that they are still a group, and nothing official has been confirmed about their future, rumours are still going around. Speculations of the group officially parting ways from one another have been on the rise online. While the group had remained active until 2021, their activities reduced drastically from 2022 onwards. They also only released one single in 2023 and 2024 each, adding more fuel to the speculations around their disbandment rumours.
One of the members, Yiren, had also shared her experience and opinion in an interview last year. She had shared that the members were not being paid properly, sharing that "I really love performing, but I'm not earning anything. Still, I don't want to give up this job."
