Director
Adhik Ravichandran recently opened up about
Ajith Kumar’s intense physical transformation during the filming of 'Good Bad Ugly'.
Speaking candidly in an interaction with Cinema Vikatan, he revealed that Ajith followed a highly disciplined routine to shed weight. “While we were shooting, Ajith sir committed himself to a serious weight loss regimen. He stuck to just one meal a day and occasionally fasted for an entire day with only water,” Adhik said. “It was something I hadn’t seen anyone else do with such determination.”
Discipline and dedication: Ajith’s focus on fitness
Adhik Ravichandran went on to explain that Ajith’s weight loss was not just for the film but also tied to his passion for car racing. “He wanted to get completely fit for racing. Towards the end of the shoot, he had already achieved his target weight, which helped us plan the shooting schedule better,” he added. Adhik praised Ajith’s self-control and willpower, emphasizing that once Ajith decides on something, he sees it through without compromise.
No gimmicks, just grit – Ajith’s natural charm
“He doesn’t need artificial intelligence or visual enhancements—Ajith sir is naturally handsome,” Adhik said with admiration. “He’s a kind, humble, and elegant man, and that inner beauty reflects on screen. The transformation he underwent is a testament to his mindset and commitment,” quoted Adhik. According to him, it was a privilege to direct someone with such unwavering dedication.
