Sreenath Bhasi in trouble again: Producer alleges drug demands: He created a lot of problems

Actor Sreenath Bhasi is once again at the center of controversy, as serious allegations have been leveled against him by film producer Haseeb Malabar. The claims are in connection with the upcoming film Namukku Kodathiyil Kaanam, where Sreenath Bhasi plays the lead role.

Repeatedly demanding cannabis
As reported by News 18, according to Haseeb, the actor repeatedly demanded cannabis on the Kozhikode sets of the film and allegedly refused to attend the shoot when his demands were not met. The producer revealed that Bhasi was absent from the set for 58 days, causing major disruptions to both the filming and dubbing schedules.

“The entire production was delayed due to his behaviour. He created a lot of problems for us,” Haseeb said in a Facebook post, further warning that legal action may follow with the words, “We’ll meet in court.”

Amid recent drug issues in the industry
These fresh allegations have emerged in the backdrop of ongoing investigations into drug use in the Malayalam film industry, including recent cases involving hybrid cannabis.
Namukku Kodathiyil Kaanam was expected to be a smooth release, but the production delays and now public allegations have cast a shadow over the project. Directed by Sanjith Chandrasenan, the script for ‘Namukku Kodathiyil Kaanam’ is penned by Aashiq Akbar Ali. Apart from Sreenath Bhasi, ‘Namukku Kodathiyil Kaanam’ also features the actors Johny Antony, Lalu Alex, Renji Panicker, and many others in pivotal roles.
Shine Tom Chacko flees
In another story, the Mollywood actor Shine Tom Chacko was spotted fleeing from a hotel room in Kochi during a drug raid. The visuals were caught on CCTV, where he was seen running down the stairs from the hotel’s third floor.
