National Safety Week begins today

Lucknow: Three linemen and a supervisor of Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) will be felicitated by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) at this year's ‘Lineman Diwas' on March 4 in recognition of their services in ensuring 24/7 electricity supply in Greater Noida.

Linemen Mahipal, Tegbahadur, Ankit Kumar along with Mukesh Kumar (supervisor) will be honoured during an event organized by the CEA at the India Habitat Centre, Delhi. ‘Lineman Diwas' is celebrated annually to honour the dedication and service of linemen and ground maintenance staff who are the backbone of electricity distribution across the nation.

The National Safety Week, focused on raising awareness about workplace safety, will also begin on March 4. NPCL will organize a series of activities from March 4 to March 10, with an emphasis on promoting a safe work environment and ensuring zero harm. TNN
