Keeta Hill, the estranged wife of NFL star Tyreek Hill, has revealed the supposed number of children he has as she requested temporary exclusive rights to the home during their divorce proceedings, as per reports.
Court documents obtained by the press reveal that Keeta argued her request was justified due to Tyreek’s conduct.
In her filing, Keeta stated she filed for divorce on April 8, “following an altercation on April 7” at their residence “during which [Tyreek] behaved in a threatening, violent, abusive, and unsafe manner toward” her, her mother, and their four-and-a-half-month-old daughter.
What happened between Keeta and Tyreek Hill? Are they divorced?
Keeta noted that she chose not to include details of the incident in the court documents “out of concern for the privacy of the family.”
Keeta claimed that on April 17, after spending the previous two nights away from the home, Tyreek, 31, returned and announced he was taking the baby, despite her objections.
“The husband has never taken care of the baby, never bathed her, never changed a diaper, never dressed her, and never put her to bed. He has never been alone with the baby,” Keeta’s filing stated. “[Tyreek] has no sincere desire to spend time with the baby, to assume parental responsibilities for the baby, or to be personally involved with the baby.”
“[Tyreek’s] track record for involvement as a parent is well-established as he has many, many other children,” Keeta’s lawyer added
“[Tyreek] is unable to prioritize the needs of the child over his own; his impulsive, unpredictable behavior and his plan to delegate the child’s care to others are not in the best interests of the children and are harmful to them,” the motion stated.
Keeta claimed that after the altercation, Tyreek listed the home they share for sale, took her car, and told her to leave.
Her motion stated, “[Tyreek] has leased a new luxury apartment for himself; however, he refuses to allow [Keeta] to have exclusive use and possession of the marital home pending further order because he wants to come and go and send his family members to the home whenever he pleases, regardless of [Keeta's] and the child’s schedule. This is an additional element of coercive control that [Tyreek] is trying to exert over [Keeta].”
Keeta argued that 50/50 custody would not be appropriate until Tyreek “learns to respect boundaries and to place the baby’s needs over his own impulses and desires.”
She requested the court grant her exclusive use of the $4.8 million Miami condo, custody of the child, and supervised visitation for Tyreek. In a separate motion, Keeta also asked the court to order Tyreek to pay her attorney fees to create a more level playing field.
She contended that Tyreek, as a professional athlete, has an “army of professionals (lawyers, bankers, advisors, etc.) plus practically unlimited financial resources to pay them,” whereas she is a financially dependent wife with a child under six months old.
Keeta stated she had liquidated a significant portion of her savings to hire a divorce lawyer, but she explained that her retainer will soon be exhausted and she will require additional funds.
