A total of 1,87,752 boys and 2,34,985 girls took the examination. Male candidates recorded a higher pass rate at 67.59% compared to female candidates, who secured 61.09%.

Sivasagar district led the chart with the highest pass percentage of 85.55%, followed by Dibrugarh at 81.10% and Dhemaji at 80.64%. At the other end, Sribhumi recorded the lowest performance at 47.96%, highlighting regional disparities.

In the HSLC 2025 results, 67.59% of male students cleared the exam, while the pass percentage among female candidates stood at 61.09%, highlighting a noticeable gender gap in academic outcomes.

Taking to social media, Assam Education Minister emphasized the significance of initiatives like the Banikanta Kakoty Scooty Award and the Chief Minister’s Nijut Moina Scheme, which aim to uplift and motivate girl students across the state to bridge this performance divide.

Amishi Saikia of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, secured the top position with 591 marks (98.50%).
Saptarswa Bordoloi from Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati, Kamrup (M), claimed the second spot with 590 marks (98.33%).
Anirban Borgohain, also from Pragya Academy, stood third with 589 marks (98.17%).

Students from the ST (Plains) category posted the best results with a 71.32% pass rate. They were closely followed by:

• OBC: 69.64%
• ST (Hills): 65.86%
• General: 62.45%
• SC: 58.56%
• Tea Tribe: 51.89%
